Highlights:

  • In the 5k race, both Black and Garratt finished right behind one another at sixth and seventh place respectively. Black's sixth-place finish saw a time of 15:18.42 and it marked the first time he had competed in the event in his collegiate career. Meanwhile, Garratt's seventh-place finish time of 15:22.32 topped his previous personal-best set back in May. In each event this year that Black and Garratt have competed in, neither runner has finished below the top-20 in the respective events they have competed in.
  • Meanwhile, Pacheco earned All-New England status for his seventh-place finish in the pole vault. He had reached a height of 4.10 meters which tied his third-highest mark on the season. Every time Pacheco has partaken in the pole vault, he finished within the top-10 in each of those events.
  • Shea Drugan nearly topped his career-best in the 200-meter dash when he finished in 13th place. In the 200-meter prelims, Drugan finished with a time of 23.03 which was only .02 off his best time (23.01). Drugan has competed in the 200-meter four times this year and has finished within the top-15 each time including a fifth-place finish at The Art Kaddish Elm City Challenge back in December.

Other Performances:

  • Also in the pole vault, not far behind Pacheco was fellow Skyhawk, Cody DeAngelo who recorded a ninth-place finish with a height of 3.95 meters. Like Pacheco, DeAngelo has finished within the top-10 each time he has competed in the event this season.
  • In his first race of the indoor season, Aidan Byrne competed in the 5k race along with Black and Garratt and finished only a few spots back in 11th place with a solid time of 15:46.07.
  • Noah Drapeau was the only other individual runner for Stonehill today as he competed in the 800-meter prelims and finished within the top-20 (18th). Drapeau posted a time of 2.02.03 for his second-highest mark on the season in the race.
  • In throwing events, Chris Cox and Ethan Peck each competed in the weight throw and placed within the top 20 (17th and 19th place respectively). Cox recorded a toss of 12.39 meters whereas Peck's throw was 12.09 meters.
  • Finally, in the distance relay, Stonehill notched a fifth-place finish that saw Ian Cann, Drugan, Connor Hughes, and Nickolas McNamee finish with a time of 10:32.52.
