The Details

  • Bryant got the scoring started early in the contest after Roman found the back of the net at the 5:30 mark for the quick 1-0 advantage.
  • However, from that point, the Durham and the Stonehill defense shut the Bulldogs down for the rest of the half not allowing another goal. Durham also came up with three key saves that helped keep the Skyhawks within striking distance.
  • For the first time this season, the Skyhawks did not allow one corner kick to an opponent in the first half. As the defense kept Bryant at bay, Stonehill had their fair chances of finding the equalizer.
  • At 07:57, Paige Marjanski had an opportunity to get the tie back, but unfortunately her shot was stopped by McNeil. Later in the half, Olivia Sharkansky riffled a shot of her own that ended up going out the upper left side of Bryant's net.
  • As the second half got underway, the Bulldogs struck again a little over fifiteen minutes into the frame (56:30) after a goal by Diani. Nearly five minutes later (61:20), Cassano netted Bryant's third goal of the evening.
  • Stonehill again had a couple of opportunites to get on the board courtesty of shots by Emmy Dumaresq and Grace Caso but unfortunately could not connect as Bryant held on for the 3-0 win.
  • Durham finished with seven saves on the night. She has now posted back-to-back games of five or more saves with her most recent being a career-high, eight saves last week at UMass Lowell.
