NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll Release

EASTON, Mass. (January 31, 2023)– Stonehill College placed 98 student-athletes on the Northeast Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll announced by the conference on Tuesday. To be eligible for the NEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must post at least a 3.2 grade-point average. In addition, 23 Skyhawk student-athletes boasted a 3.75 grade-point average or better to be named to the NEC Fall Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

The fall academic honor roll consisted of a conference record 1,264 student-athletes with a 3.20 or better grade point average, a 5.5 percent increase from the conference standard set a year ago. There were also 490 student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.75 or better grade point average, just shy of the league record of 498 from last fall.

Among the 98 Skyhawk student-athletes named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll, four earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Margaret Gallagher of women's cross country, Makayla Strickulis from field hockey,  Carlos Dias Neto , and Terence O'Neill of men's soccer each finished with a 4.0 GPA for the semester.

On the women's side, women's soccer had 18 Skyhawks earn honor roll, followed by field hockey at 17, women's volleyball at 10, and women's cross country with nine. On the men's side, football led the way with 22 student-athletes earn honor roll, men's soccer was not far behind with 14 members of the team on the honor roll, and finally men's cross country saw nine teammates grab the academic honor.
