Women's Soccer Hosts Stonehill's First Division I Home Game Sunday; Kristine Lilly To Make Guest Appearance

EASTON, Mass. (September 7, 2022)- The Stonehill College women's soccer team season is off and running and the Skyhawks make not only their home debut Sunday, but it will be the first Division I home game in the school's history. The Skyhawks are familiar to making history as the squad was the first program to play in a Division I contest earlier this season at Hartford.

"Hosting the first Division I home game on campus is a milestone in this progressive journey," said Stonehill women's soccer head coach, Alex Wilson. "This venture to Division I has been embraced by the players and staff as we work hard to grow in the face of new challenges. Every day the focus is on trusting the process and celebrating victories - small and big! This program remains focused on developing the whole person, strengthening our culture, and understanding the unique privilege of competing at the highest level. Stonehill Women's Soccer is proud to be the first home contest representing the purple & white in Northeast Conference-clad uniforms and we are all in.  We are all in for each other and we look forward to not only this game on Sunday but the step-by-step ascent to where we believe this program can climb."
