COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (August 28, 2022)- The Stonehill College women's soccer team finished up their Colorado road trip with a Sunday afternoon matchup against the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs but came up short in a 3-0 loss at Mountain Lion Stadium.

The Details
- Stonehill had chances early on in the contest after Lauren Clement, Meghan Lord, and Peyton Nickerson each had looks on net. However, at the 12:57 mark, the Mountain Lions broke the 0-0 draw when Sydney Lasater found the back of the net.
- Colorado-Colorado Springs netted their second goal of the half when Jael Larson scored one of her two goals on the afternoon. From that point, Stonehill had a couple more good looks to get on the board including shots by Hannah Anselmo and Olivia Webster but was turned away by Mountain Lions goalie, Alexis Walker.
- The second half was more back and forth until the 81st minute (81:19) when Larson netted her second goal to make it 3-0. For a stretch between the 84th and 86th minutes, the Skyhawks registered four shots in a row including two from Clement that Walker was able to save to preserve the win.
- Copley got the start in net for Stonehill and posted a season-best, nine saves. It marked the third time in her career with five or more saves.
