EASTON, Mass. (August 30, 2022)- Jentry AllenLauren Clement, and Jacob Woznicki of Stonehill women's volleyball, women's soccer, and men's soccer were named Northeast Conference Prime Performers of the week for their respective sports as announced by the conference earlier this week. 

Last weekend at the UNC Asheville Invitational, Allen was named to the All-Tournament Team for her strong performances in each matchup. Allen led the squad in kills in three out of the four matches which included two 12-kill performances. In Stonehill's opening matchup against the host, UNC Asheville, Allen had her first 12-kill match along with three service aces. Her other 12-kill match came in the final day of the invitational versus Morehead State University. For her career, Allen has finished with 10 or more kills in 12 contests. 

Allen and the Skyhawks continue their road trip Tuesday night at Bryant slated for a 7 p.m. contest to wrap up the week. Stonehill has their first home match later in mid-September on the 17th when they host Saint Michael's College for a 1 p.m. start. 

Clement had a solid weekend for the Skyhawks as she helped the squad go 1-1 on their Colorado road trip which included their first win of the season. In last Friday's match at Adams State, Clement netted two goals which marked her second career multi-goal game and tied a career-best for goals scored in a match. Meanwhile, in Sunday's game versus the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, Clement finished as the team leader in shots with four and had two of them on net which also led the team. 

Clement and Stonehill are back in action on Thursday, September 1 at UMass Lowell for a 7 p.m. matchup and then have a Sunday road contest at Molloy College slated for a noon start time. Stonehill makes their home debut as a Division I school on Sunday, September 11 against the University of Vermont at 1 p.m.

Finally, Woznicki earned a brace last Friday after he scored twice in the 64th and 65th minutes to keep Stonehill within reach in its first-ever DI game, a 5-3 loss at La Salle. Woznicki's two-goal performance was the first of his career and he also led the team in shots and shots on goal with five and four respectively. 

Woznicki and the Skyhawks have a Friday road match traveling to Canisius College on September 2 which is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start to conclude their week. Men's soccer will have their first home contest toward the end of September on the 29th when they host St. Francis College Brooklyn which also marks their first NEC game.
