Two Women’s Basketball Games Selected for NEC Broadcast Package

Both Skyhawk matchups with Saint Francis to air on ESPN+, including Merkert Gym encounter January 25 at 6 p.m.

NEC Announces 2023-24 Basketball Television Schedule

EASTON, Mass. (December 14, 2023) – Both Stonehill College women's basketball matchups with Saint Francis University have been selected by the Northeast Conference to appear in the Conference's 2023-24 basketball broadcast schedule the league announced today.

Stonehill will host Saint Francis for an NEC matchup on Thursday, January 25, at 6 p.m., in a game that will now be broadcast live on ESPN+, as well as the Skyhawks return NEC matchup with the Red Flash in Loretto, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, February 24, at 4 p.m. It marks the first time in the Skyhawks two-year history with the NEC that it will have two games included in the Conference's ESPN+ package and the second-straight year it will host a game in the broadcast package after hosting Merrimack College in an ESPN+ clash at Merkert Gymnasium last February.

The two Stonehill/Saint Francis matchups are among 12 women's games included in the NEC 25-game basketball broadcasting package for the 2023-24 season – 23 of which will be broadcast on ESPN platforms. The package also includes six NEC postseason games, with the 2024 NEC Women's Basketball Championship broadcast live on ESPNU on Sunday, March 17. The two games add to five Stonehill women's games scheduled for ESPN digital platforms, including this week's matchup at Boston College carried on ACC Network Extra, as well as the Skyhawks next two games at UAlbany on Saturday and at George Washington University next Thursday, December 21, on ESPN+.

The NEC and longtime broadcast partner ESPN will join forces to deliver games to fans through ESPN streaming services on the web and via the ESPN App across smartphones, tablets and connected devices. ESPN+ is set to be the go-to destination for basketball enthusiasts this winter, hosting a lineup of ten NEC women's games and nine men's contests. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ for just $10.99 a month (or $109.99 per year) at ESPN.com, ESPNplus.com or on the ESPN App. It is also available as part of The Disney Bundle that gives subscribers access to Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu.

Stonehill is back in action on Saturday when it continues its three-game road trip to wrap up the first semester schedule at UAlbany at 2 p.m. The Skyhawks next home game is the finale to their non-conference schedule on Saturday, December 30, against Fairfield University at 2 p.m. Stonehill opens NEC play the following Saturday, January 6, at Long Island University at 2 p.m., with the Skyhawks NEC home opener on Saturday, February 13, against FDU at Merkert Gym at 2 p.m.
