EASTON, Massachusetts (March 23, 2021) – Stonehill College baseball's junior Luke Marshall was named Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week, as freshman Graham Herrick was tabbed NE10 Rookie of the Week, announced by the League on Monday.  

The Skyhawks, currently ranked No. 6 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association East Region Poll, started off the season with three-straight victories, including a 10-9 walk-off win over Saint Anselm College and a 10-1 and an 8-6 win against Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Marshall led the way against the Hawks, as he pitched 7.0 innings allowing only three hits and one earned run. The junior walked one batter and struck out six for a 1.29 ERA. With Marshall on the mound, Stonehill held a 5-1 advantage and put three more on the board, 8-1, before the Hawks' fought back with eight runs in the top of the ninth to take over the lead, 9-8. With two outs, Stonehill's Blaine Lidsky dropped the ball into right field driving in two runs for the walk-off win, 10-9.

Marshall has made 16 appearances in the Purple & White over his three years, where he has tossed 58.1 innings, striking out 46 batters, with 33 earned runs. Marshall is a 2018 graduate of Swampscott High School where he played baseball and named to the honor roll for all four years.

Herrick was a force at the plate and in the field, starting in all three games in right field. The freshman batted 4-for-10 with three RBI, and five runs scored. He tallied his first-career double against Wentworth in game one and first-career homerun against Saint Anselm College. In the field, he totaled nine catches.

The Sheffield, Massachusetts native went to Monument Mountain Regional High School for three years before graduating from Berkshire School in 2020 where he played baseball, basketball, and golf.

Stonehill is scheduled to host Southern New Hampshire University for two games on Thursday, March 25 with a first pitch at 1:00 p.m. for the first part of the four-game series.
