Stonehill Has Season-Opening Series at #30 Dowling Cancelled

EASTON, Mass. (February 26, 2010) - Stonehill College has announced that its season-opening three-game baseball series at Dowling College, ranked 30th in this week's Collegiate Baseball magazine Division II poll, this weekend has been cancelled due to the winter weather that continues to impact the region.

Stonehill will now open its 2010 season next Friday, March 5, when it opens its spring break trip at Rollins College at 7 p.m. The game will kick off an 11-game trip to central Florida for the Skyhawks.

Stonehill, picked ninth in the Northeast-10 Conference preseason coaches poll, is scheduled to open their home schedule on Tuesday, March 16, for its first NE-10 game of the season against Southern New Hampshire University at 3:30 p.m.
