They added two in the second when Bruno followed up a two-out single from sophomore Michael Magnussen (Carver, Mass./Coyle & Cassidy) with his team and Conference-leading seventh home run of the season.

Bentley cut the deficit in half with three runs in the top of the third. Freshman Lamarre Rey (Lynn, Mass./Pingree School) led off with a single and later scored on a wild pitch. Curley drove in a run on a ground out and then Damato laced an RBI double.

Stonehill regained control with four runs over the fourth and fifth innings to run its lead to 10-3. Davis followed up a leadoff single by senior Rob Von Stein (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) with an RBI triple in the fourth. Davis tripled again to spark the Skyhawks’ three-run fifth, driving in two, while Popp added an RBI single.

Bentley closed the gap in the late innings with a pair of home runs. Curley delivered a two-run blast in the eighth, before DeCoste rounded out the scoring with a leadoff shot in the ninth.
