EASTON, Mass. (June 18, 2010) - Recent Stonehill College graduate Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass./Dartmouth), an All-American this past season in two sports, has been voted the www.stonehillskyhawks.com Female Performer of the Year by vistors to the official website of Stonehill athletics.

Ladino received 30% of the votes from over 100 participants who visited the website from June 2 through the 14th. She was an NE-10 Woman of the Year nominee and received an Edward E. Martin Scholar-Athlete Award winner at the College. Ladino earned All-America honors for both field hockey and lacrosse in her final collegiate year, a consensus first team pick in field hockey from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and womensfieldhockey.com, and a cosensus pick in lacrosse as a first team selection from womenslacrosse.com and a second team honoree by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

Ladino, just the third two-time All-American in the history of Stonehill's field hockey program, led the Skyhawks to the Northeast-10 regular season championship and a spot in the NCAA Tournament, serving has host of the Final Four at W.B. Mason Stadium in November. The three-time All-Northeast-10 selection totaled 12 goals (7th NE-10) and five assists for 29 points (9th) in her senior season and was named to the All-NE-10 first team while also earning All-Tournament team honors at both the NE-10 and NCAA Division II Championships and was selected to play in the NFHCA Division II Senior All-Star Game.

Ladino capped her All-America career ranked second in program history with 35 career assists, third with 97 points and fourth with 31 career goals in 84 career games played.

Ladino earned her first All-America honors for lacrosse after also collecting first team All-Region and All-Conference accolades this spring for the first time this past spring. She started all 17 games for the Skyhawks and totaled 26 goals and 14 assists for 40 points, with one game-winning goal, 45 ground balls, a team-best 52 draw controls and 17 caused turnovers. Ladino ranked fourth among NE-10 leaders with 13 free-position goals.

Ladino played 66 games over her career with the lacrosse team, totaling 92 goals and 34 assists for 126 career points, also adding three game-winners, 123 ground balls, 123 draw controls and 72 caused turnovers. She was also participated in the IWLCA Division II North-South Senior All-Star Game.
