Stonehill enjoyed a tremendous week of success with its teams posting a combined 8-0 record, including a perfect 6-0 clip on Saturday alone, while the nationally-ranked cross country teams also posted strong outings in their first competition of the season.

Stonehill's nationally-ranked field hockey team led the way for the College with three honors as senior Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass./Dartmouth) was named Player of the Week for the third time in her career, while junior Courtney Osier (South Dennis, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth) was named Goalkeeper of the Week and senior Stephanie Kott (Rutland, Mass./Notre Dame Academy) was selected as the Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.

Junior Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz./St. Mary's) collected Setter of the Week accolades in volleyball, while Anthony Campagnano (Schenectady, N.Y./Guilderland) rounded out the Skyhawk honorees by earning the Freshman of the Week award for men's soccer.

Ladino led the newly minted No.4-ranked Stonehill field hockey team to a pair of wins as she totaled five goals and two assists for 12 points. She netted her second career hat trick and added an assist in Satuday's 6-0 win over Franklin Pierce after posting two goals and an assist in Wednesday's 4-1 victory at then No. 5-ranked Bentley University. Ladino moved into third place on Stonehill's career scoring list over the course of the week with 82 career points, while her 25 career goals are good for fifth all-time.

Osier yielded just one goal while facing 12 shots on goal for a 0.50 goals against average and .917 save percentage with one shutout in the Skyhawks 2-0 week. She posted two first half saves to preserve her first shutout of the season (fifth career) in Saturday's 6-0 win over Franklin Pierce. Osier stopped nine of ten shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-1 triumph at 5th-ranked Bentley.

Kott led a Skyhawks defense which allowed just one goal and an average of six shots on goal per game in the 2-0 week. She dished an assist while heading a defense that limited Franklin Pierce to just three shots (two on goal) in Saturday's shutout victory. The defense allowed just a goal and ten shots on goal in Wednesday's win at No. 5 Bentley.

The field hockey team (3-2, 0-0 NE-10), ranked No. 4 in this week's Kookaburra/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II poll, is home on Thursday when it hosts 3rd-ranked University of Massachusetts Lowell for a key early season non-conference battle at 7 p.m.

Vachon spearheaded a Stonehill offense that racked up 45 points in Saturday's victory at NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Wagner College on Staten Island. He piled up a career-best 215 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, marking the Skyhawks first 200-plus yard all-purpose day since 2000. He carried the ball 27 times for a career-high 191 yards rushing and three scores, while adding two kick and punt returns for 14 and ten yards, respectively. Vachon scored on runs of 1, 29 and 52 yards. His 52-yard scamper tied the score at 28-28 as the Skyhawks rallied from a 28-14 second quarter deficit en route to a 45-28 lead early in the fourth.
