The Details

  • Lindenwood wasted no time as Conquest got the Lions less than a minute into the contest (00:26). From theere, Lindenwood set the tone the rest of the contest as the hosts tacked on three more goals in the opening frame to go up 4-0 after the first.
  • The Lions carried their offensive momentum into the second as Lindenwood netted their fifth goal just 07:25 into the period. However, Stonehill finally got on the board thanks to a great look from Ireland after Schwenninger set up his fellow freshman for the score.
  • Despite cutting the deficit to four (5-1), Lindenwood added three more goals in the second and pushed their lead up to seven (8-1). But as the period started to wind down, Nehmer put home is eighth goal of the season courtesy of solid passing from FitzPatrick and Tripp.
  • While Stonehill chipped away at the Lions lead, Lindenwood responded and netted their ninth goal on the afternoon off the stick of Anderson. Even though FitzPatrick scored Stonehill's third goal of the day and made it 9-3, the hosts added one more goal for the eventual victory.
  • Even though the Purple and White fell Saturday, Day finished with a new career-high in saves with 45. It is his seventh time this year making 30 or more stops.
