EASTON, Mass. (May 22, 2023)– Stonehill College placed 80 student-athletes on the Northeast Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll announced by the conference on Monday. To be eligible for the NEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must post at least a 3.2 grade-point average. In addition, 19 Skyhawk student-athletes boasted a 3.75 grade-point average or better to be named to the NEC Winter Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. Margaret Gallagher of women's track and field was the lone student-athlete to earn a 4.0 for the semester.
Along with the scholar-athletes, the NEC announced its Winter Academic Honor Roll, consisting of 893 student-athletes with a 3.20 or better grade point average, the third-highest total in conference history. There were also 345 student-athletes named to the Winter Commissioner's Honor Roll, recognizing those superior student-athletes with a 3.75 or better grade point average. That figure was the second most in league annals.
On the women's side, women's track and field had 23 Skyhawks earn honor roll, followed by swimming at 11, and finally women's basketall with 10. On the men's side, ice hockey led the way with 14 student-athletes earn honor roll, men's track and field was not far behind with 13 members of the team on the honor roll, and finally men's cross country saw eight teammates grab the academic honor.
