Women's Indoor Track and Field Compete in River Hawk Invite

BOSTON, MASS. (January 27, 2023) – The Stonehill College women's indoor track and field team shipped up to Boston to compete in the Riverhawk Invitational at the Track at New Balance, hosted by UMass Lowell this afternoon. The team made strides in the invite, competing against various schools, including Binghamton, Holy Cross, UVM, Fordham, and more.

Highlights

  • Senior Victoria Lombardi placed high in the 5000-meter race, finishing in third overall with a time of 18:09.44.
  • Fifth Year Rebecca Erhard made a strong showing at the invite, also competing in the 5000 run, placing fifth overall in 18:14.88.
  • Having an impressive showcase at the invitational, freshman Jordan Malloy placed high in the 3000-meter run with a seventh-place finish in 10:22.42.
  • Freshman Emily Young ran in the 3000-meter race, finishing in 10:25.30 placing eighth overall in the race.

  • Sophomore Madison Rousseau competed in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.09, placing tenth place. 
  • Freshman Grace Tyrrell ran in the 500-meter dash, placing 11th overall with a time of 1:23.03.
  • Freshman Kaia Eder competed in the long jump, placing 13th overall, hitting 5.17m.
  • Senior Haley Lightbody competed in the pole vault, placing 15th overall, clearing the 3.21-meter mark.
  • Sophomore Emma Lawrence ran in the 800-meter run for the Skyhawks, placing 16th in the event with a time of 2:20.88.

Stonehill is right back in action next week on Thursday, February 2nd and Friday, February 3rd to compete in the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Track At New Balance in Boston, Mass.
