KINGSTON, RI. (January 21, 2023) – The Stonehill College women's indoor track and field team hit the road and competed in the University of Rhode Island Invitational at the Rhode Island-Mackal Field House in Kingston, Rhode Island. The team made their mark, competing against various schools, including Bryant University, Providence College, University of Hartford, WPI, and more.

Highlights

• Having an impressive showcase at the invitational, sophomore Madison Rousseau (Canton, Mass. / Canton) competed in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.19, placing fourth place. Rousseau also ran in the 200-meter dash, ranking in the top ten with a tenth-place finish in 26.89.
• Sophomore Emma Lawrence (Milford, Mass. / Milford) made strides at the invitational, competing in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:23.31, placing fifth.
• Senior Haley Lightbody (Reading, Mass. / Reading) competed in the pole vault competition, placing fifth overall, hitting the 3.21-meter mark.
• Freshman Aneka Andrews (McLean, Va. / McLean) ran in the 400-meter race, with an impressive seventh-place finish in 1:03.13. Andrews also competed in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.03, finishing in 19^th place.
• Senior Thrower Kaley Enright (Groveland, Mass. / Pentucket Regional) competed in the shot put event, hitting 11.46m with a seventh-place finish.
• Freshman Jordan Malloy (Colchester, Conn. / Bacon Academy) placed high in the mile run with an eighth-place finish in 5:13.69.

• Freshman Kaia Eder (Moorestown, N.J. / Delran) competed in the triple jump event, placing 12^th overall, hitting 10.45m. Eder also competed in the long jump event, making 20^th place, hitting 4.86m.
• Senior Victoria Lombardi (Peabody, Mass / Peabody Veterans Memorial) returns to the track to compete in the mile run, finishing in 13^th place with a time of 5:20.96.
• Stonehill's Lawrence, Freshman Grace Tyrrell (Cavendish, Vt. / Green Mountain Union), Malloy, and Lombardi ran in the distance medley relay with a time of 13:05.48, placing second overall.
• Freshman Emily Young (Newton, Mass. / Beverly) ran in the mile run with a time of 5:24.92, placing 16^th overall.
• Junior Cassidy Becker (North Attleboro, Mass. / North Attleboro) ran in the 60-meter hurdles, placing 17^th with a time of 9.99.
• Junior Caroline Surrette (Woburn, Mass. / Woburn Memorial) placed 18th in the 1000-meter race with a time of 3:13.77.
