Lysova and Skrbinsek lead Terriers double-winners

WALPOLE, Mass. (March 4, 2023) – St. Francis Brooklyn secured a 7-0 victory over Stonehill College in a Northeast Conference women's tennis match at The Wimbledon 109 Tennis Club tonight. 

Highlights

  • Postgrad Milana Lysova and senior Mia Skrbinsek led four double-winners in the match for St. Francis. The duo completed a sweep of the three doubles matches with their 7-5 decision at No. 1.
  • Lysova also battled past Stonehill senior Steffi Antao in a third set tiebreaker at No. 1 singles. Antao won the second set 6-4, before Lysova closed out the win with a 10-4 third set tiebreaker.
  • Skrbinsek added a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles against Stonehill freshman Anneliese Beltran.
  • Freshman Ximena Cano and junior Nicole Romero rounded out the double-winners for the Terriers.
  • Sophomore Lincy Valencia and junior Valentine Mudry also collected singles points for St. Francis.
