Singles matches take the courts for day two of event being hosted at Babson Saturday
BABSON Park, Mass. (September 16, 2022) – Stonehill College's top doubles pairing of seniors Cristina Solorzano Valencia and Steffi Antao collected a win in their second match of the night to highlight play on day one of the Wellesley College Invitational, being hosted by Wellesley and Babson College tonight.
Solorzano Valencia and Antao, who were edged in their opening match by the Wellesley doubles tandem of Annissa Mu and Melinda Alviar, 8-6, rebounded to defeat a mixed doubles pairing of Allyson Nerf from Merrimack College and Jennifer Fan from Wellesley in their second match, 8-1.
Stonehill's doubles team of senior Lily Peter and freshman Annaliese Beltran battled to a tiebreaker in their first match of the night, before being edged by the Babson tandem of Kamila Stasiowska and Juliette Moschella, 8-7 (8-4).
