EASTON, Mass. (December 9, 2021)-Four Stonehill College women's soccer student-athletes have been named to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-New England Team, Camryn Thompson (First Team), Lauren ClementEmmy Dumaresqand Peyton Nickerson earned second-team honors as voted on by NCAA Division II coaches from colleges and universities in New England, the organization announced. 

Thompson's NEWISA All-New England First Team selection is her third in her illustrious Stonehill College career to go along with being named an Arthur Ashe, Jr., Sports Scholar, was named the NE10 Rookie of the Year and an NE10 All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman. She received the St. Thomas Aquinas, Patron Saint of Students, Medal for having the highest cumulative grade point average on the team as well as the Fred C. Petti Award for having the highest grade point average among all Stonehill student-athletes for the 2020-21 academic year. Thompson has earned CoSIDA Academic All-District® honors two-straight years and has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester.

On the field, Thompson started in all 18 games recording 23 points on 11 goals. The senior forward scored two game-winning goals and scored multiple goals in three matches. This included her first career hat trick in Stonehill's 5-0 win over the University of Maine-Fort Kent on October 16. She earned NE10 Player of the Week accolades for the first time in her career on October 18. Thompson led the team in goals, points, and shots (89) while also ranking high in the NE10 Conference in the same categories: goals and points (second), shots (first).
 
Thompson capped her career having started 50 of the 58 matches she played, totaling 28 goals and nine assists for 65 points. She netted seven match-winning goals and tallied multiple goals in four matches in her career. Thompson ranks seventh in program history for career goals and tied for eighth all-time in points, while her 11 goals this fall are tied for tenth on Stonehill's single-season list. Her nine goals scored as a freshman were just two shy of the program record for first-year student-athletes, while her career-best six assists that season are tied for third all-time, finished tied for the program record for freshman scoring with 24 points in 2018.
 
Clement earned a spot on the NEWISA All-New England Second Team for the first time in her career. She started 16 of the 17 matches she played this season, finishing second on the team with ten points and four goals while adding the two assists. She also netted a match-winning goal in Stonehill's 3-2 victory over regionally-ranked Saint Anselm College on October 30. The junior forward erupted for six points with two goals and the first two assists of her career in the Skyhawks 5-0 win over Pace University on November 1, which kept the team's postseason hopes alive heading into the regular-season finale two days later.
 
In her career, Clement has appeared in 21 matches over her Stonehill career, including the 16 starts, with her ten points this season marking her career total as well. She has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll for her efforts in the classroom as well.
 
Dumaresq also is a first-time NEWISA All-New England Second Team honoree as the NE10 All-Rookie Team member who had a great season for the Skyhawks. Dumaresq started all 17 matches played for Stonehill this fall, dishing out a team-high three assists, to go with a goal for five points. She scored her first career goal against then-No. 3-ranked College of Saint Rose on October 2, three days after collecting her first collegiate point with an assist against No. 14 Southern New Hampshire University on September 29. Dumaresq has also been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll for her efforts in the classroom.
 
Finally, Nickerson also for the first time in her career, earned a spot on the NEWISA All-New England Second Team. The All-NE10 Third Team honoree started all 18 matches for Stonehill's backline, leading a defensive unit that posted a 1.23 team goals-against average with six shutouts, yielding 11.8 shots per match, including 5.3 per match on target. Nickerson, who earned NE10 Defensive Player of the Week accolades on September 13, also contributed on the offensive side with three goals to finish third on the team. She scored the match-winning goal in the Skyhawks 2-0 win over Queens (N.Y.) College on September 12.
 
For her Stonehill career, Nickerson has started 28 of the 30 matches she has played over her Stonehill career. She chipped in with an assist as a freshman, giving her seven career points with three goals and an assist. Nickerson, a biology major enrolled in the Moreau Honors Program at the College, has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester. She is secretary of the Pre-Health Society, vice president of the Make-a-Wish Club, and the women's soccer team's representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee while serving as a Moreau Honors Mentor.
 
Stonehill finished its 2021 season with an 8-8-2 record overall, including 5-6-2 in the NE10, to finish ninth in the NE10 regular-season standings. The Skyhawks won five of their last eight (5-2-1) and four of six (4-1-1), including a 3-2 victory over a regionally ranked Saint Anselm squad on October 30. Ten of Stonehill's 18 matches were decided by a single goal, with the Skyhawks going 5-5 in those contests.
