NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 3, 2021) - Stonehill College played to a scoreless double-overtime draw with Southern Connecticut State University in Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer action at Jess Dow Field tonight, but saw its postseason hopes dashed by percentage points to the Owls who clinched the eighth and final spot for next week's NE10 Tournament.

- Sophomore Mia Jackson matched her career-best with five saves in posting her second-straight shutout over the course of the last three days while making just her fourth career start and seventh appearance overall.
- Postgrad Allie Smith finished with six saves in goal for Southern Connecticut State, which held a slim 13-10 edge in shots for the contest. Her final stop came with just 55-seconds to play in the second overtime period on a shot attempt from Stonehill junior Emma Slade.
- Stonehill, which finished the year 4-1-1 over its last six matches to get back into the postseason picture, needed a win in tonight's regular season finale to leap past Southern Connecticut State in the standings.

Stonehill sees its season draw to a close with an 8-8-2 record overall, including 5-6-2 to finish ninth in the NE10 standings – just .032 shy of eighth place Southern. SCSU (6-7-3, 5-5-3 NE10) is seeded eighth for the upcoming NE10 Tournament and will visit top-seeded Southern New Hampshire University for a quarterfinal round matchup on Sunday at 1 p.m.
