Dorset, Vermont, senior finishes tied for 13th on individual leaderboard as Skyhawks place eighth as team
BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (October 4, 2022) – Stonehill College senior Julia Dapron turned in a top-15 finish to headline the Skyhawks who posted an eighth-place team finish as play concluded at the Hartford Hawks Invitational, hosted by the University of Hartford on the 5,938-yard, par 70, layout at Wintonbury Hills Golf Club today.
Highlights
- Dapron, who carded an opening round 75 on Monday, followed that up with an 81 today under rainy and cold conditions, for a two-day score of 156. She added a birdie on the par 4 sixth hole today after logging a pair on the front nine yesterday and finished tied for 13th out of 58 golfers in the field.
- Freshman Jaelyn DeBoise was consistent over her two rounds in Connecticut, following up her 80 on Monday with an 82 today for a two-day score of 162 to finish tied for 28th overall. She also registered a birdie in her round on the par 5 fourth hole.
- Sophomore Mollie Thomas matched Dapron for Stonehill's low round of the day with an 81, recording a birdie on the par 5 eighth hole and shooting a team-best four-over-par 39 on the front nine. She finished with a two-day score of 173 after carding a 92 on Monday and finished 47th overall.

Stonehill finished eighth in the team standings at the event with a two-day score of 663 (331-332). Merrimack College (305-310) and Fairfield University (307-308) shared the team title at 615, while the University at Albany (317-302=619) took third after shooting the low team score of the tournament today. The Skyhawks finished clear of Assumption University (343-354=697) and behind Hofstra University (320-318=638).
