King

EASTON, Mass. (April 26, 2023)- Solomon King of the Stonehill College men's indoor track and field team was named to the Northeast Conference Indoor Track and Field All-Conference First Team as announced by the conference earlier today. King was previously named the NEC's Co-Most Outstanding Track Performer (sprints) at the conclusion of the conference's indoor championship.

During the indoor season, King had many strong performances but his best came during the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Indoor Track and Field Championship where he broke a 16-year-old school record. In the 200-meter dash at that meet, King earned a second-place finish with a time of 21.43 seconds. Overall during the indoor season, King finished within the top five of the 200-meter dash five times which included two first-place finishes (NEC Indoor Championships and Suffolk Relays). For 60-meter dashes, King was a top-five finisher in eight meets, and in two of those meets (URI Coaches Invitational and Suffolk Relays) he took first place in both the preliminaries and the finals.

King and the Skyhawks continue their outdoor season this Saturday, April 29 at 10 a.m. when Stonehill hosts the Skyhawk Invite.
