Skyhawk Men's Track & Field Make Strides at URI Coaches Invitational

KINGSTON, R.I. (February 11, 2023)- The Stonehill College men's indoor track and field team competed in the URI Coaches Invitational this afternoon in Kingston, Rhode Island. With a couple of Skyhawks chosen to compete in the invitational, Stonehill finished high on the leaderboard in various events.

 
 

Highlights

  • Solomon King had yet another strong performance at the invitational, setting a new personal record in the 60-meter race, placing first in the event with a time of 6.86. 
  • Colin Black ran in the 3000-meter race, finishing with an impressive first-place finish in 8:45.86. 

Other Performances

  • Shea DruganSolomon King, Ryan Lavery, and Andrew Morin ran in the 4x400 relay, placing high with a second-place finish, with a time of 3:32.20.
  • Jacob Pacheco competed in the men's pole vault event, hitting 4.35m (14' 3.25"), and placing third place overall.
  • Parker Hagen performed in the men's triple jump event, placing third place overall, hitting a distance of 12.93m (42' 5.25").
  • John Paulhamus competed in the 60-meter race as well, finishing in fourth place with a time of 7.07, and ran in the 200-meter race, finishing in 23.05, placing third overall.
  • Shea Drugan also ran in the 60-meter race, finishing in fifth place with a time of 7.07.
  • Levi Wurster jumped in the men's triple jump event, placing fifth place overall in 11.15m (36' 7").
