Wirth Named to Northeast-10 Volleyball All-Championship Team

Mesa, Ariz. native earns second career All-Championship selection

EASTON, Mass. (November 16, 2010) – Stonehill College senior Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz./St. Mary's) has been selected to the Northeast-10 Conference Volleyball All-Championship Team. She earns her second career nomination after helping Stonehill advance to the NE-10 semifinals this season.

Wirth averaged 5.86 assists and 3.29 digs per game during the Skyhawks' postseason run, as fifth-seeded Stonehill toppled American International College in the quarterfinal round before falling in the semifinals to eventual champion University of New Haven. In a 3-1 upset victory over the Yellow Jackets, Wirth collected 27 assists and added 11 digs in a strong team defensive effort. She posted another double-double in the Skyhawks' 3-0 loss to New Haven, recording 14 assists and 12 digs.
Wirth was also selected to the 2008 All-Championship Team as the Skyhawks reached the conference semifinals that year.

Stonehill finished the season at 16-13 overall with an 11-4 mark in NE-10 competition, their best conference record since the NE-10 expanded to 16 teams.
