EASTON, Mass. (April 13, 2021) – Stonehill College got back in the win column with a commanding 19-4 victory over Saint Michael's College in Northeast-10 Conference women's lacrosse action on Timothy J. Coughlin, '80 Memorial Field at W.B. Mason Stadium tonight.

How it Happened

  • Stonehill wrapped a ten-goal run around halftime to break open a 3-2 lead after a Saint Michael's goal from freshman Amanda Drislane less than five minutes into the game.
  • Sophomore Victoria Butler scored all three of her goals on the night within an eight-minute span as Stonehill grabbed a 9-2 lead with 12:07 remining in the first half after her third.
  • Junior Kendall Fressle also scored three first half goals for Stonehill.
  • Sophomore Lydia Rudden scored the first three goals of the second half and junior Emma Sullivan added a marker as Stonehill opened the frame with a four goal run to open an 11-goal lead (13-2) over the first ten minutes.
  • Senior Olivia Pino netted back to back goals in the closing five minutes to cap a five goal Stonehill run.

Noteworthy

  • Rudden finished with a career-high four goals, to go with an assist for a season-high matching five points, chipping in two ground balls and a caused turnover.
  • Butler netted a career-high three goals, while contributing two draw controls and two caused turnovers.
  • Freshman Molly Mae Hughes matched her season-best with three goals and four points, adding an assist and caused turnover, while Fressle also netted three goals.
  • Pino finished with two goals and an assist with a caused turnover.
  • Freshman Abby Ahearn chipped in with her first career goal for Stonehill.
  • Senior Kaleigh Wright earned her second career win in the Stonehill goal, finishing with nine saves.
