Mahoney Trains for Marathon, Fundraising for Stonehill's Hope Happens Here Chapter

EASTON, Mass. (October 20, 2020) - Stonehill College women's lacrosse sophomore Leah Mahoney has been training to race in the Narragansett Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, October 25, in Rhode Island.

This is Mahoney's first marathon and she is fundraising for Stonehill's Hope Happens Here chapter, a mental health foundation dedicated to fighting the negative stigma surrounding mental illness on college campuses. Mahoney is accepting donations via a GoFundMe Page. Any donations are accepted and appreciated. Mahoney and the Stonehill College Hope Happens Here Chapter is also organizing a virtual 5k to assist in the efforts of the sophomore lacrosse student-athlete. If you would like to participate in the virtual 5k, donate $5 to the GoFundMe Page and send in your pictures of your completed 5k to  Stonehill Hope Happens Here Instagram account to be featured on their page.
