McKillop improved to 4-2 overall on the season hurling seven shutout innings, giving up five hits and striking out one batter. McKillop faced 25 batters total in her outing, induced eight groundouts, yielded just one extra base hit and issued zero walks.

Sophomore Erin Batson (Poland, N.Y./Poland) was handed the loss (0-4) on two innings pitched, four hits, four runs (one earned) and three walks. Classmate Sarah Harrison (Cobleskill, N.Y./Cobleskill-Richmondville) shutdown the Skyhawks over the next four innings allowing just two hits. Harrison also fanned one batter.

Stonehill scored all of its runs in the bottom of the first inning on two hits and a pair of errors.

Junior first baseman Nicole Eisenmann (East Bridgewater, Mass./East Bridgewater) ripped a two-run single through the right side of the infield plating Chelsea Stryker (Baldwin, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) and Courtney Marchand (Raymond, N.H./Timberlane Regional) for a 2-0 advantage.

Kelsey Wilcox (Canterbury, Conn./Griswold) eventually drove in Eisenmann with a sacrifice fly to centerfield and sophomore third baseman Jocelynne Morrell (West Haven, Conn./West Haven) capped the scoring with a RBI double to left field.

Eisenmann collected the only multi-hit performance for either team going 2-for-3 with one runs scored and two runs driven in.

Senior Samantha Krantz struck out a
career-high 14 batters in game two.

Krantz pushed her team-best record to 8-4 on the season allowing five hits over eight innings of work, three walks and a career-high 14 strikeouts. Krantz struck out at least one batter in every inning and fanned the side twice (second and fourth innings).

Harrison suffered the loss in game two on seven-and-two-thirds innings pitched, six hits, one run (unearned), one walk and seven strikeouts.

Stryker sparked the Skyhawks walk-off victory in the bottom of the eighth inning with a one-out bunt single. Marchand followed with a bunt single of her own and both runners advanced a base, respectively, on a throwing error. After Eisenmann flew out to rightfield, McKillop lined a single over the glove of Le Moyne shortstop Barb Shea (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) and into left centerfield for the victory.

The Dolphins best chance to break up the scoreless tie came in the top of the fifth inning as freshman second baseman Kristie Capuano (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) hit an opposite field double to right and was bunted over to third base with one out. Krantz struck out the next batter, walked senior third baseman Kelcie Cashel (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) and induced a 6-3 groundout against Shea to keep Le Moyne off of the scoreboard.

Stonehill (17-9/10-8 NE-10), who claimed its first win(s) against the Dolphins since 2003, travels to Merrimack College for a NE-10 doubleheader clash on Wednesday, April 11 with game one scheduled for 3 p.m. Le Moyne (15-23/9-9 NE-10) hosts New Haven for a NE-10 twinbill on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
