Freshman Ali Maloof (Norwood, Mass./Norwood) improved to 6-4 on the season with a complete-game effort, yielding four hits, two runs (both earned), two walks and a game-high 11 strikeouts. Maloof had a strikeout in every inning but the seventh and struck out the side once (first inning) for Southern New Hampshire.

Junior leftfielder Cristy Jenkins (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) gave the Penmen the victory with a walk-off solo homer to centerfield in the bottom of the seventh inning off of McKillop.

The Skyhawks, trailing 2-0 in the top of the fifth inning, tied the game up on a two-run homer from sophomore third baseman Jocelynne Morrell (West Haven, Conn./West Haven) to left centerfield, second of the season. Junior Kelsey Wilcox (Canterbury, Conn./Griswold) led off the frame with a double to rightfield before scoring on Morrell's two-run blast.

Junior shortstop Kate Stanley (Kingston, Mass./Silver Lake Regional) launched a two-run homer to centerfield with one out in the bottom of the first inning to give Southern New Hampshire a 2-0 lead at the time.

Morrell, Wilcox, McKillop and senior shortstop Chelsea Stryker (Baldwin, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) all had hits for the Skyhawks.

Sophomore Dolores Mattice (Schenectady, N.Y./Mohonasen) went the distance in game two giving up two hits and six walks alongside 12 strikeouts to push her record to 6-3 overall.

Mattice, who struck out at least one batter in every inning, had her no-hit bid broken up in the fifth inning on a single up the middle with one out. Mattice went on to squander the Skyhawks threat with runners on first-and-second base with one out on a pop up and a strikeout. Mattice also pitched herself out of a jam in the sixth inning by striking out sophomore Brianna Gunter (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan)  with the bases loaded and two outs.

Senior Samantha Krantz (Hampton Bays, N.Y./Hampton Bays) hurled six innings of one-run ball (unearned) allowing three hits with two walks and two punchouts.

The Penmen scored the game's only run in the bottom of the sixth inning as Maloof reached on a fielding error, advanced to second on a Stanley sacrifice bunt and eventually scored off of Tesia Stanasek's (Blackstone, Mass./Blacktone Valley Technical) RBI double down the leftfield line.
