NE10 2021 Women's Lacrosse Schedule Announcement

EASTON, Massachusetts (February 25, 2021) – Stonehill College in conjunction with the Northeast-10 Conference, announced its 2021 women's lacrosse schedule today. It marks the third in a series of spring schedule announcements by the Conference this week after the 2021 baseball and softball schedules were released earlier this week.

Stonehill will play a 12-game divisional NE10 lacrosse double-round robin schedule this spring, beginning by hosting Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, March 17, at W.B. Mason Stadium. Game times for all Skyhawks home games are to be announced in the coming days. Stonehill is scheduled to host NE10 northern teams Saint Anselm College, Bentley University, Assumption University, Southern New Hampshire University and Saint Michael's College, while also playing those six programs on the road, to make up the entirety of the 2021 slate. The NE10 Tournament dates and format are yet to be announced.

All dates and times are subject to change by weather and COVID-19 health and safety protocols. All teams will be subject to follow NE10 COVID-19 testing protocols, in addition to health and safety guidelines from their institutions and local communities. The safety and well-being of student-athletes and the Stonehill community remains the primary focus of the College and NE10.

Stonehill's season-opener against Franklin Pierce will be one year and six days since the Skyhawks last competed on the field at Florida Southern College on March 11, 2020. It will also mark the College's first home athletic event since hosting the NE10 Women's Basketball Championship at Merkert Gymnasium, an 80-61 Stonehill win over Saint Anselm, on Sunday, March 8, 2020. It will be the women's lacrosse program's first home game since a 17-8 win over Saint Michael's on April 24, 2019.

Attendance policies will be determined individually by NE10 institutions, but schools will work to provide live streams of home women's lacrosse games when possible on NE10 NOW – the digital home of the NE10. Stonehill home games will be available through SkyhawksVision on NE10 NOW, and in addition to watching online, viewers will also be able to watch the action live on their televisions through Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku.

Stonehill finished its abbreviated 2020 season with a 2-2 record overall, including 1-1 in NE10 play. Both setbacks came to nationally-ranked opposition, while picking up wins at Franklin Pierce, and against Saint Thomas Aquinas College in Davenport, Florida, on March 9, 2020.
