Four Nations Tournament Information
EASTON, Mass. (December 13, 2022)- Stonehill College Women's Ice Hockey forward Lucie Turcotte has been selected to represent France on their national team at the Four-Nations Tournament in December in Amiens, France. The games are scheduled to run from December 13-17. Turcotte and the French National Team will be competing against Denmark, Hungary, and Japan in the four-day tournament.
Of the 22 teammates on the French team, Turcotte is one of three student-athletes from the US representing the French squad and is the lone representative from the New England Women's Hockey Alliance.
"We are so proud of Lucie earning the opportunity to represent her country," said Stonehill women's ice hockey head coach, Tara Watchorn. "She is a great ambassador for our program and we wish her the best of luck as she competes on the international stage"
For Turcotte, this is not her first time playing with the French National team as the freshman has played for her country at different levels throughout her playing career. Prior to Stonehill, Turcotte was a three-year member of the U18 French National Team where she netted four goals and dished out two assists for six points. She also played on the Senior Women's National Team for a year.
In her first year for the Purple and White, Turcotte is having a solid season as she currently has five goals which are tied for third on the team, and is one of six Skyhawks with a plus-minus above +5. She has also garnered Honor Roll for the NEWHA Rookie of the Week category for the week of October 11.
Stonehill will have some much-deserved time off as the squad hosts Dartmouth on Friday, December 30 for a 1 p.m. puck drop.
