EASTON, Mass. (December 6, 2022)- Coming off their first non-conference sweep in program history last weekend against Lindenwood University, Bailey Feeney was named the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) Rookie of the Week and Hanna Zukow earned NEWHA Goaltender of the Week honors. For Feeney, it is her first NEWHA weekly award and for Zukow, it is her second.

Feeney played a crucial part in last Saturday's 5-3 win over Lindenwood. She assisted three of Stonehill's five goals and tacked on an empty-net make late in the third period which secured the sweep of the two-game series with the Lions. Saturday marked a new career-high for Feeney in assists (three) which topped her previous best of two set back in October in a 9-0 win over Saint Michael's College.

Meanwhile, Zukow ended up with 68 saves across the two games against Lindenwood. She made 29 saves on 30 shots in the 2-1 opener on Friday before delivering 39 saves in Saturday's win. For Zukow, it marked her fourth game of the season with 35 or more saves. With her strong performance over the weekend, Zukow is now ranked within the top five of multiple categories including goals-against average (2.58-fourth), save percentage (.918-fifth), saves (391-fourth), and win percentage (.536-fourth).

Stonehill will have some much-deserved time off as the squad hosts Dartmouth on Friday, December 30 for a 1 p.m. puck drop. The Skyhawks then begin the new year with a NEWHA two-game set versus Sacred Heart University starting on Friday, January 6 at 5 p.m.
