  • Bramanti chipped in a season-best 12 points for the Skyhawks with five assists. (PHOTO BY Brian Foley)
Oakland scored the final seven points of the opening quarter, sparked by a Van Schaik three, before a steal and hoop by Daniels, that broke the fifth tie of the first (13-13) after a Bramanti layup with 1:49 remaining.
  • The Skyhawks chipped back within a possession (20-17) after a layup from postgrad Maddie Loder and two Glidden free-throws in the opening minute of the second, but Van Schaik answered with a three-pointer and then a steal and layup to stretch the Oakland lead to eight (25-17) 68-seconds in.
  • Stonehill cut the lead to two (29-27) on a Kelly three with 5:42 to play in the second, but the Golden Grizzlies scored the next nine to open an 11-point lead (38-27) with three minutes to go in the half after back-to-back baskets from freshman Cam Grant.
  • Trailing by ten (43-33) after a Johnson layup, Stonehill scored the final four points of the half off Oakland turnovers resulted in jumpers by junior Cameron Ward and freshman Colleen McCullagh to head into the lockerroom down just six (43-37).
  • Glidden extended the run to six points by opening the second half with a layup, but Oakland reclaimed a nine-point cushion (51-42) after a layup from senior Breanne Beatty three minutes into the third.
  • Stonehill closed again, pulling within two (51-49) midway through the third as Kelly drained a three-pointer, followed by layups from Bramanti and Glidden.
  • Stonehill was still within a possession (53-51) after two Ward free-throws with three minutes left in the third, but Van Schaik hit a three to spark five quick points and push the Oakland lead back to seven (58-51) at the media timeout with 1:41 left in the quarter.
  • Stonehill was back within four after a three-point play by Glidden, but Oakland carried a six-point lead (60-54) into the fourth on a layup from junior Sug Williams at the buzzer.
  • Van Schaik opened the fourth with a three-pointer and then Johnson scored a putback to push the Oakland lead back to 11 (65-54) a minute into the fourth as the Golden Grizzlies sealed the win with a 17-2 run over the first five minutes of the frame to open a 21-point lead (77-56) that put the game away.
