Stonehill opened the fourth quarter with a six-goal run to take control after trailing by one (8-7) after three quarters of play, led by junior Kayla Conway who scored three of her team-leading four goals during that stretch, adding an assist.
  • New Haven grabbed a 4-2 lead after a quarter of play, scoring the final three goals of the frame after Stonehill had grabbed a 2-1 edge on markers from senior preseason All-American Emma Sullivan and Conway over the first five minutes of the game.
  • Three different Chargers scored during that run to close the opening quarter with senior Julia Astram's third goal of the season with 49-seconds left.
  • The two teams scored two goals each in the second quarter with New Haven maintaining its two-goal cushion (6-4) after junior Annie Acquavita netted her first of three goals with two-seconds to go before the intermission.
  • Acquavita's second goal restored New Haven's two-goal lead (7-5) two and a half minutes into the third quarter, but Stonehill rallied with the next two goals by senior Kendall Fressle and junior Victoria Butler over a three-minute span to pull even (7-7) with 4:29 left in the third.
  • Freshman Reagan Bailey gave New Haven the lead (8-7) heading to the fourth quarter with her second of three goals on the day with five-seconds left in the third.
  • Conway reversed the lead with back-to-back goals, both assisted by junior Lydia Rudden, 51-seconds apart that would put Stonehill in front for good (9-8) and spark the game-deciding 6-0 run for the Skyhawks.
  • Conway's third of the quarter followed a free-position goal from Fressle and was assisted by sophomore Molly Mae Hughes with 10:13 to play gave the Skyhawks a three-goal lead (11-8) and then Conway turned provider on Hughes' first of two goals down the stretch two minutes later for a four-goal lead.
  • Sophomore Lilly Leach's second of the day extended Stonehill's lead to five (13-8) with 5:57 remaining.
  • New Haven made a late run with goals from Bailey and Acquavita to draw back within three (13-9) with 2:18 left, but it was too late as Hughes quelled the run with her second of the game with 1:16 to play, assisted by Leach, for the game's final goal.
