The Details
- After a quick strike by Framingham State less than 30 seconds in, Stonehill responded nearly five minutes later courtesy of Ireland when put home his shot past Kilgallen.
- Later in the frame, Ireland netted the eventual go-ahead goal when Tripp swung the puck over to Ireland who fired home a one-timer and the squad headed into the second up one (2-1).
- Nehmer kept the offensive momentum going early into the second when after Collins found an open Nehmer, the senior put a hard shot on net. While his shot initially loooked like it was stopped, the puck trickled through Kilgallen's pads and gave the Skyhawks a 3-1 advantage.
- As the second started to wind down, the Rams cut the deficit to one (3-2) courtesy of Lindsay with the short-handed goal which set up for an action-packed third.
- Despite being down one, Stonehill once again grabbed a two-goal lead when FitzPatrick put the puck past the Rams netminder and put Stonehill up 4-2.
- For the remainder of the period, Ireland netted the Skyhawks' last two goals and capped off his four-goal night. Ireland is the first Skyhawk to score a hat trick since Peloso did so last season versus Franklin Pierce (Nov. 6).
- With today's victory, the program topped the previous wins record (16) held by the 2013-14 team.
