EASTON, Mass. (February 14, 2023)- Stonehill women's track and field freshman, Jordan Malloy was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference this afternoon.

In her first year as a Skyhawk, Malloy shined in her cross-country and track career. Most recently, Malloy had a solid week at the URI Coaches Invitational in Kingston, Rhode Island on February 11th. She took to the starting line and raced in the 1000-meter distance race, where she finished in 3:03.64, placing third overall in the meet.
Malloy raced in the mile run at the NEICAAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston, MA on February 2nd and 3rd, where she placed sixth place overall with a time of 5:07.82. Her time ranks number six in the Northeast Conference.
Finally, at the Riverhawk Invitational at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston, MA on January 27th, the freshman distance runner ran in the 3000-meter race, where she placed seventh overall with a time of 10:22.42, ranking her time fifth in the conference.
Stonehill continues their 2023 season when they head to NEC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island, New York on Sunday, February 19 at 9 am. The squad will take a few weeks off until their outdoor track season takes flight.
