Men's Tennis Falls on the Road to Saint Joseph's

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 4, 2024) – After being rained out on Sunday, the Stonehill College men's tennis team fell on the road to Saint Joseph's University, 6-1, Monday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.

Highlights

  • The sophomore duo of Mateo Mallen and Mathias Langaard paired up for the first time this season in the No. 2 doubles slot.
  • Mallen and Langaard took down junior Justus Agbo and freshman Stergios Achilleas Papadopoulos for their first doubles win, 6-4.
  • Sophomore classmates Mark Kröll  and Donovan Rodrigues nearly secured the Skyhawks the doubles point.
  • However, the sophomore duo fell by a narrow 7-6 margin at No. 3 doubles to graduate student Jack Campbell and sophomore Mark Rubin.
  • Freshman Jacob Borch-Nielsen earned the lone win for the Skyhawks at No. 1 singles against Agbo, 7-6, 6-4.
  • Borch-Nielsen leads the team with nine singles victories throughout the year.
