EASTON, Mass. (October 4, 2023) – Junior Emma Lawrence (Milford, Mass./Milford) headlined the Northeast Conference weekly cross-country awards as the NEC Athlete of the Week after running in the 6K race at the Paul Short Run at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course hosted by Lehigh University on September 30.
Lawrence finished in 24th place with a time of 22:26.0 while the Skyhawks finished in 18th place as a team with 463 points out of 43 teams.
This was Lawrence's first time running the 6K race since September 30, 2022, at last year's Paul Short Run where she placed 36th.
Stonehill is back on the course next weekend when the team returns to Franklin Park in Dorchester, Mass. for the New England Championships on Saturday, October 7.
