DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 17, 2023) - Junior Emma Lawrence (Milford, Mass./Milford) placed eighth out of 280 runners as the Stonehill women's cross-country team competed in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course and came in second place with 94 points.
Highlights
- Lawrence's eighth-place finish came with a time of 17:54.6 in the 5k race as she set a new personal best in the event.
- Fifth-year Victoria Lombardi (Peabody, Mass./Peabody Veterans Memorial) came in 16th place for the Skyhawks as she crossed the finish line at 18:29.48 which was also a personal best for her.
- Sophomore Jordan Malloy (Colchester, Conn./Bacon Academy) ran the race in 18:32.43 to finish 19th overall.
- Freshman Kellie Harrington (Pittsfield, Mass./Pittsfield) finished less than a second later for a 21st-place finish and clocked in at 18:33.09.
Other Performances
- Freshman Sydney Kalil (Milford, Mass./Milford) finished her first collegiate 5k in 18:45.0 as she came in 30th place.
- Freshman Jessica Kenyon (Monson, Mass./Pope Francis Prep) also made her debut in a 5k race, clocking in at 18:59.99.
- Freshman Iasmim De Sousa-Vieira (Medford, Mass./Medford) crossed the finish line in 19:11.2, tallying a 49th-place finish.
