Gannon and Mason Earn All-New England Honors

NEW BRITAIN, Connecticut (May 15, 2021) – The Stonehill College women's track & field team, ranked first in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II East Regional computer rankings, saw senior Casey Gannon and junior Claire Mason earn All-New England honors on the final day of the New England Outdoor Track & Field Championships today at Veterans Stadium.

Gannon earned her first-career All-New England honor, taking home seventh in the 100-meter hurdles final. Gannon made it to the finals as she finished third in her heat and seventh overall with a time of 15.17-seconds yesterday, while she bested that time in finals at 14.89-seconds.

Mason, who clocked in a time of 2:18.30 in the 800-meter run, earned her second-career All-New England honor. The junior placed seventh in her first outdoor New England Championship.

The Skyhawks wrapped up the season as the runners-up at the Northeast-10 Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships and they sent three to the New England Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
