(October 16, 2021) - Le Moyne College, ranked No. 7 in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II poll, closed out the regular season with a 4-0 decision over Stonehill College, ranked No. 2 in the East, in a Northeast-10 Conference women's tennis matchup at Elevate Fitness tonight.

Postgrad Marta Nunez and sophomore Fiona Pepper led the way for Le Moyne as double winners as the Dolphins wrapped up an undefeated NE10 regular season championship -its first in program history.
Nunez and Pepper clinched the doubles point for Le Moyne with their 6-3 win at No. 2.
Nunez followed that with a 6-1, 6-3 decision at No. 3 singes against Stonehill senior Emma Markaryan.
Pepper won against senior Samantha Ormesher at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-4.

Stonehill (6-4, 6-4 NE10) heads to the NE10 Tournament next week as the No. 5 seed and will visit fourth-seeded Adelphi University for a first-round match on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Le Moyne (12-1, 10-0 NE10) wrapped up an undefeated NE10 regular season to claim its first regular season championship and sew up the top seed for the tournament and awaits the Adelphi/Stonehill winner for a semifinal round match on Friday at 1 p.m.
