Eisenmann Earns NE-10 Postseason Honors
East Bridgewater, Mass., native selected to All-Conference first team and All-Rookie squad
EASTON, Mass. (May 13, 2010) – Stonehill College freshman Nicole Eisenmann (East Bridgewater, Mass./East Bridgewater) has received postseason honors from the Northeast-10 Conference with her selection to the All-Conference first team and All-Rookie Team, as voted on by the NE-10's 16 head coaches.
Eisenmann a first team All-Northeast-10 Conference selection at designated player is the first Stonehill first team All-Conference pick since Courtney Young collected the honors in 2008. Young is also the last Skyhawks freshman to earn All-NE-10 honors when she was a third-team pick in 2005. Eisenmann is believed to be the first freshman to receive first team All-Conference honors in program history.
Eisenmann started all 40 games for
Stonehill in her first collegiate season and posted a .389
(51-for-131) batting average (9th NE-10) with seven runs
scored, eight doubles, two triples, four homeruns and 31 RBI. She
slugged .573 and posted a .416 on-base percentage with 19 
multiple hit games and ten multi-RBI outings also ranked among
NE-10 leaders with a .429 average with two outs (5th)
and .451 average with runners on base (4th), converting
44.9-percent of her RBI opportunities (5th) and was
successful advancing baserunners 60.6-percent (8th) of
the time.
Eisenmann also made four relief appearances in the pitching circle for Stonehill, posting a 1-0 record and 0.88 earned run average with three strikeouts and three walks over eight innings, holding opposing batters to a .192 average and.
Eisenmann posted a nine-game hitting streak late in the season to steer the Skyhawks into the postseason, collecting multiple hits in seven of those game and hitting .531 (17-32) overall during the course of the streak which ran from game two of a doubleheader at Merrimack College on April 21 through game two of a doubleheader split with The College of Saint Rose on May 1. She hit .440 (40-91) in 28 NE-10 games this spring (6th NE-10), scoring five runs and posting seven doubles, two triples, three home runs and 22 RBI.
Stonehill (20-19-1, 15-13 NE-10) made its third postseason appearance in program history this spring, marking its second trip in three years, before falling to American International College (1-0) in the first round. The Skyhawks posted several notable wins in 2010, defeating defending NCAA Division II National Champions Lock Haven University (8-2) on March 8. Stonehill swept an NE-10 doubleheader at AIC (4-0 & 1-0 (9 inn.)) on April 10 during a stretch in which the pitching staff posted 34-straight scoreless innings.
