DeBoise Finishes Strong for Women's Golf at Advance Golf Partners Collegiate

Springfield, Massachusetts, sophomore cards final round 78, while Brodahl finishes a team-high 41st overall at three-day event

PALM CITY, Fla. (February 13, 2024) – Sophomore Jaelyn DeBoise capped Stonehill College's opening tournament of the spring with another solid round to move up six more spots on the individual leaderboard and highlight the third and final round play at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, hosted by the University of North Carolina Greensboro, on the 6,066-yard, par-72 layout at Hammock Creek Golf Club today.

DeBoise, who made a 16-spot charge up the leaderboard with her season-best 76 on Monday, followed that up with a second-straight round in the 70s as she carded a final round 78 today to move up six more spots. Her three-round score of 239 (85-76-78) was good for a 53rd place finish overall, recording 13 pars, including seven during a back nine where she shot two-over-par 38.

Freshman Helen Brodahl wrapped up her tournament tied for 41st in the field of 82 golfers to lead Stonehill in the final standings with a 236 (77-78-81) total. She posted ten pars over her third round, including six in a back nine she completed in 39 strokes.

Stonehill finished its first tournament of the spring in 14th place overall with a three-day score of 999 following a 336-team score on Tuesday. Jacksonville State University and Elon College shared the team title with three-day scores of 897, as Elon closed the gap with a 302 score today, while Jacksonville State totaled 305, on a day in which only one team posted a score under 300 (UAB, 299). Jacksonville State's Jinger Heath took medalist honors with a three-round score of four-under-par 212 (72-71-69) after carding the lowest round of the day and one of just four sub-par rounds on Tuesday overall at three-under-par.   • Freshman Sydney Hidalgo recorded a pair of birdies on the par-4 third and par-3 12th holes on her way to an 88 today and finished 77th overall at 265 (86-91-88).
  • Freshman Kenna Roman birdied the par-4 seventh hole in a round of 89 to finish 74th overall at 259 (85-85-89).
  • Freshman Carol Pignato also notched a birdie on the seventh hole and finished with a 90 today and a 78th place finish at 277 (92-95-90).
