COLCHESTER, Vt. (October 10, 2009) - Stonehill College picked up its seventh win over its last eight matches with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-22) victory at Saint Michael's College in Northeast-10 Conference volleyball action at Ross Sports Center today.

Junior setter Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz./St. Mary's) engineered a balanced attack for Stonehill with 41 assists to go with nine digs and two service aces. Junior Erin Johnson (Centerville, Mass./Barnstable) led the Skyhawks with 12 kills with just two errors on 22 total attacks for a .455 hitting percentage to go with two blocks, while classmate Laura Noonan (Hampstead, N.H./Bishop Guertin) added ten kills with only three errors on 18 attacks for a .389 hitting percentage with two blocks. Junior Justine Thompson (Merrimack, N.H./Bishop Guertin) chipped in with 13 digs and two aces.

Junior captain Lindsay Frazier (Albany, N.Y./Colonie Central) led Saint Michael's with a match-high 13 kills. Freshman Maggie Zuhlke (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) posted 19 assists, while classmate Courtney Dunne (Hopkinton, Mass./Bancroft School) totaled 13 digs.

Stonehill (10-5, 5-1 NE-10) returns to action on Tuesday when it visits Assumption College at 7 p.m. The Skyhawks are home again next Friday, October 16, to host Pace University at 7 p.m. Saint Michael's (5-12, 1-9 NE-10) travels to The College of Saint Rose next Saturday at 1 p.m.
