Equestrian Wraps Up Day One Of IHSA Zone 1 Championship; Herring Advances To Nationals

HANOVER, Mass. (April 7, 2023)- The Stonehill College equestrian team competed in the first day of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Zone 1 Championship Friday and saw Sarah Herring clinch a spot in nationals with her performance Friday.

Herring secured a spot in the IHSA National Championship next May after her she earned second place in the intermediate division's flat event. For Herring, it will mark her first-ever trip to the national championship next month. Herring has had a solid year when competing in the intermediate division's flat event as she continues to post top-five finishes in each show she competed in.

Grace Faddoul also competed in today's postseason show and despite not qualifying for the nationals, she had a solid performance in both her events Friday. Faddoul earned fourth place in both the limit division's flat and fences events.
