Program-best three Skyhawks named to All-Conference teams

NE10 Announces Women's Golf Postseason Awards

EASTON, Mass. (June 11, 2021) – A program-best three members of the Northeast-10 Conference runner-up Stonehill College women's golf program have been selected to the NE10 All-Conference teams by the league's eight head coaches, the Conference announced today.

Stonehill, which had single All-NE10 performers in each of the last two seasons over its four-year history, added a record three more today. The list is headlined by NE10 Championships medalist runner-up Julia Dapron as the first in program history to be named to the All-NE10 first team, while classmate Emily Kase has earned a spot on the second team and junior Emma Beaulieu has been selected to the third team. It marks the first All-NE10 selection for all three and gives the Skyhawks five All-NE10 selections in the program's four-year history.

Dapron, who finished second at the 2021 NE10 Championships this spring, earns All-NE10 first team honors after posting top ten finishes in all three events Stonehill competed in this spring, capped by the program-record performance at the NE10 Championships. She posted a team-best 86.40 stroke average over her five rounds in the three events this spring. Dapron was the first Stonehill golfer to hold a first round lead at the single-day 36-hole NE10 Championship on April 22, leading the Skyhawks to a second-place team finish. She earned NE10 All-Championship Team honors at the event, carding a first round 83, which marked her season-low, before adding an afternoon 87 for a 170 total. Dapron also added a seventh-place finish at the Saint Rose Invitational (88-87=175) on April 14 and tied for ninth at the Assumption Invitational (87) on April 19.

Dapron has posted an 84.93 stroke average in her 15 career rounds in eight events over her first two seasons at Stonehill. She posted an 84.20 average in ten rounds over five events her freshman season, carding a career-low 80 in the second round of the 2019 Saint Rose Fall Invitational in her collegiate debut, finishing 15th overall. Dapron, who has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll, placed 20th at the 2019 NE10 Championships (85-85=169).

Kase earns All-NE10 honors for the first time as well, with her second team selection after earning NE10 All-Championship accolades with her fourth-place finish at the NE10 Championships this spring. She opened with an 85, before finishing with a 91, for a two-round total of 176, marking her second career top five finish. Kase finished her sophomore season with a 91.60 stroke average over her five rounds in the three events she and the team competed in, adding a 14th place finish at the Assumption Invitational (90).

Kase has posted an 88.67 stroke average over her 15 rounds in eight events through her first two collegiate seasons. She notched her first career top five finish with two sub-80 rounds, including a career-best 78, at the 2019 Penman Fall Invitational (79-78=157) to place fifth. She was also 24th at the 2019 NE10 Championships (82-90=172). Kase has also been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and posted an 87.20 stroke average in ten rounds over five events as a freshman.

Beaulieu earns All-NE10 honors for the first time with her selection to the third team after finishing tied for 14th at the NE10 Championships this spring. She finished the spring with an 89.00 stroke average in three rounds over two events, carding a pair of 91s at the NE10 Championships. She opened with a seventh-place finish at the Assumption Invitational with a season-best round of 85.

Beaulieu has been a consistent performer for Stonehill over her first three seasons, recording an 85.73 stroke average in 26 rounds over 13 events in her collegiate career. She has recorded three top tens and a top five finish over the course of her career and posted an 83.59 scoring average in 17 rounds over eight events her freshman season. Beaulieu owns the lowest round in program history with her first round 74 at the 2018 Penmen Columbus Day Invitational, where she finished fifth (74-79=153). She has received the Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award and has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll for her efforts in the classroom.

Stonehill returned to play this spring with three events over the span of eight days, highlighted by its second-place finish at the NE10 Championship – its highest as a program in the three years the Skyhawks have been able to field a full lineup. The Skyhawks also finished third at the single round Assumption Invitational and fourth at the opening Saint Rose Invitational, another single-day 36-hole event.
