Women's Golf Posts Pair of Top 10s for Third at Assumption Invitational

Beaulieu and Dapron notch top ten finishes for Skyhawks

BOYLSTON, Mass. (April 20, 2021) – The Stonehill College women's golf team posted a pair of top ten finishes and took third place in the team standings at the Assumption Invitational, hosted by Assumption University at the 5,915-yard, par-72 layout at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club on Monday.

Junior Emma Beaulieu and sophomore Julia Dapron each turned in top ten finishes on the individual leaderboard to lead Stonehill in its final tune-up for Thursday's Northeast-10 Conference Championship. Beaulieu carded a round of 85 in her season debut to finish seventh in the field of 31 golfers, while Dapron matched her season-low with an 87 to finish tied for ninth and mark her second-straight top ten.

Stonehill posted a 354 team score for a third place finish as a team at the four-team event. Franklin Pierce University won the team title with a score of 341, while host Assumption took second at 349. The Skyhawks finished ahead of Adelphi University (376), who produced the individual medalist, Hannah Trinh, with a nine-over-par round of 81.

  • Sophomore Emily Kase registered a season-low round of 90 to finish 14th in the field.
  • Freshman Hannah Pignato carded a 92 to finish 16th, while classmate Jenny Perrone posted a 96 and finished tied for 19th.
  • Freshman Emma Casey rounded out the Stonehill entries with a round of 107 and tied for 28th.

Stonehill is right back on the course this week for the 2021 Northeast-10 Conference Championship, hosted by American International College, with 36 holes on Thursday at Cold Spring Country Club, in Belchertown, Massachusetts.
