EASTON, Mass. (April 21, 2021) – The Stonehill College women's golf program will mark the athletic department's return to Northeast-10 Conference Championship play following the last three championship seasons cancelled from the COVID-10 pandemic as it will take part in the 2021 NE10 Women's Golf Championship, hosted by American International College, at Cold Spring Country Club, in Belchertown, Massachusetts, tomorrow.

The NE10 Championship will consist of 36 holes played on Thursday on the 5,828-yard, par-71 layout at Cold Spring CC. Stonehill finished sixth at the 2020 NE10 Championship played at Turning Stone Resort in Western New York and has been picked to place fourth as a team in the NE10 pre-championship coaches poll, by the Conference's six head coaches.

Stonehill collected 11 points in the poll, with defending champion Franklin Pierce, winners of two NE10 titles overall, picked first with 25 points and five first place votes. The College of Saint Rose is picked second with 18 points and the remaining first place vote, followed by Assumption University (17 points) in third, Stonehill fourth, Le Moyne College (11) in fifth and Adelphi University (9) in sixth.

Stonehill, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Nick Crovetti, will have three of the five players who made up the 2019 NE10 Championship participating team, in the lineup for tomorrow. The Skyhawks have two tournaments under their belt this spring, both coming within the last week, finishing fourth at the Saint Rose Spring Invitational on April 14, and then third at the Assumption Invitational on Monday. Sophomore Julia Dapron turned in top ten finishes at both events heading into her second NE10 Championship appearance, while junior Emma Beaulieu finished seventh in her season debut at Assumption on Monday, and will return to the NE10 Championship for the second time after a one-year hiatus.
