Trio of All-NE10 Performers Lead Men's Cross Country to Third at NE10 Championships

MANCHESTER, N.H. (October 24, 2021) - Stonehill College, ranked No. 3 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II East Regional rankings, featured three All-Conference performer to highlight its third place team finish at the 2021 Northeast-10 Conference Cross Country Championships, hosted by Saint Anselm College, this afternoon.

The Details

  • Senior Nickolas McNamee was among a pair of All-NE10 second team performers with his 13th place finish overall, completing the eight-kilometer course in 26:27.3. It marks the third All-NE10 performance of his career and his highest career finish at the Championship.
  • Junior Colin Black finished right behind McNamee in 14th place with a time of 26:31.5 to earn All-NE10 honors for the first time with his second team accolades.
  • Rounding out Stonehill's All-NE10 performers is senior Shane Braz with his 19th place finish in 26:53.0 to earn third team honors for the second time in his career.
  • American International College took the men's team title with 28 points, sweeping the top two positions in the individual standings, led by Ezra Mutai who took the individual title in 24:27.2 – a full minute ahead of his teammate in second.
  • Stonehill placed seven runners in all inside the top 31, out of 150 runners overall, led by sophomore Aidan Byrne in 26th overall (27:23.3), followed by freshman Jace Hollenbach in 29th (27:25.0), sophomore Connor Hughes in 30th (27:27.2) and junior Andrew Janus 31st (27:29.6).

Stonehill has next weekend off, before returning to action on Saturday, November 6, for the NCAA Division II East Regional, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College, in Rochester, New York.
