The Game: Stonehill College looks to do its part in a scenario which could set up a rematch right back here next week for the NE-10 Championship as it visits Assumption College, ranked No. 21 in this week's D2football.com poll and receiving votes in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll, for the regular season finale for both at Multi-Sport Stadium this afternoon. The Skyhawks are looking to finish strong, having won two straight after a 35-24 victory over Saint Anselm last Saturday. The Greyhounds have clinched at least a share of their first Northeast-10 regular season championship and the right to host next week's NE-10 Championship with seven straight wins following a commanding 40-7 triumph over Bentley here last Friday night.

Leo Meehan '75

The Hall Calls: Stonehill held its 27th annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction last Friday night at Martin Institute. This year's class included football alum Leo Meehan '75, the President and CEO of W.B. Mason Company, former women's tennis coach Sandy Xenos, the 1990 and 1991 Men's Soccer Teams, field hockey and lacrosse two sport athlete and Academic All-American Amy Bartlett '02 and women's basketball Academic All-American Julie Stockwell '00.

NE-10 Championship Weekend Focus: Stonehill still holds an outside chance to clinch a spot in next weekend's Northeast-10 Championship right here at Assumption. The Skyhawks would have finish in a three-way tie with New Haven and Merrimack, creating a three team mini-conference in which those three teams all went 1-1 against each other this season. Stonehill would come out of the tiebreaker by way of a win over Assumption this afternoon. To create this deadlock, Stonehill needs to win, New Haven lose at Saint Anselm and Merrimack win at Southern Connecticut State. The Skyhawks hold the head to head tiebreaker over the two teams it is currently tied with (Merrimack and LIU Post) as well, which will come in handy when determing seeding next weekend as well.

Lutton

Rookie of the Week: Freshman tight end Kaleb Lutton (Middletown, Conn.) has been named the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. Lutton had three receptions, all for touchdowns, for 25 yards in Stonehill's 35-24 victory over Saint Anselm in the "Battle for the Ol'Bronze Hawk" on Saturday. He dominated the red-zone with touchdown catches of four (twice) and 17 yards.. Lutton's first four yard score put the Skyhawks in front for good in the first quarter, while his 17-yard touchdown catch built an insurmountable 35-10 lead with a minute left in the third quarter. Lutton also earned NE-10 Rookie of the Week honors following another three touchdown afternoon at LIU Post in week four as well as after the Skyhawks week two win at Merrimack in which he caught two fourth quarter touchdowns in a comeback win.

He's Honored: Sophomore quarterback Matt Foltz (Mount Joy, Pa.) earned a spot on the Northeast-10's weekly honor roll on Monday. Foltz completed 13-of-20 passes for 170 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions, while adding another 21 yards on five rush attempts to post 191 total yards on the day. He engineered a Skyhawks offense which scored touchdowns on all four first half possessions to key the victory.

#VoteChiocco: Fans can vote for senior defensive lineman Nick Chiocco (Mansfield, Mass.) for Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Captain through November 25 by going to espn.com/allstate. Fans can vote once per day per device for Chiocco, the first Stonehill football student-athlete named to the Good Works Team®. He is one of 11 out of the 22 honorees recognized from NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), Division II, Division III and NAIA out of a record 197 nominees from across all levels of college football. He was the lone Northeast-10 Conference student-athlete nominated and one of just three NCAA Division II student-athletes to earn a spot on the Good Works Team®.

Masucci

Reading More Than the Playbook: Senior safety Anthony Masucci (East Haven, Conn.) has earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-Super Region 1 first team, as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) members from the region for the second straight year it was announced on Thursday. Masucci, who has earned a 3.59 cumulative grade point average as a finance major at the College, is the first two-time first team Academic All-District selection and the third two-time Academic All-District honoree in program history overall, joining Kevin Bonnett '09 and Sean Donahue '08. Masucci, an NE-10 Academic All-Conference selection last season as well, was among a program-record three Academic All-District honorees last season, along with junior tight end Colin Smith (Ipswich, Mass.), who did not qualify this season due to missing games to injury. Masucci is now eligible to be selected to the Academic All-America team by CoSIDA's Academic All-America committee.

November Reign: Since head coach Robert Talley took over the program in 2007, Stonehill is 12-5 in the month of November heading into this weekend's matchup with first place Assumption. The five losses are to American International in the final game of 2007, as well as the 2013 NE-10 Championship, at Bentley to close out the 2010 season, against Southern Connecticut State in 2012 on NE-10 Championship Weekend and to Assumption at home last season.

DE-FENCE!: The Stonehill defense ranks ranks second in the NE-10 (10th nationally) for total defense (279.1 yds allowed per game), leading the NE-10 (12th nationally) for passing defense (149.2 yds/gm) and ranking fourth for rushing defense (129.9 yds/gm) and scoring defense (20.9 ppg), ranking 37th nationally for the latter. Stonehill boasted the top ranked defense in the Northeast-10 in 2014, ranking No. 6 nationally.

The Rest of the Story: Stonehill ranks fourth in the NE-10 for scoring defense, allowing just 20.9 points per game. However, of the 188 points the Skyhawks opponents have scored this season, seven came off a kickoff return, seven off a blocked punt for a touchdown, six on a one yard run after a goal line fumble by the offense, seven on a touchdown off an interception to the Skyhawks six and seven off a fumble return for score. Opponents have scored just 136 points off offensive drives through nine games - an average of just 15.1 points per game.

Three and Out: Stonehill leads the Northeast-10 and ranks eighth nationally in Division II for first down defense, yielding just 14 first downs per game this season (126 total). The Skyhawks rank second in the NE-10 (16th nationally) for third down percentage defense, limiting opponents to 30-percent (37-for-124) conversions on third down.

Matt Foltz

Mr. 2,000: Sophomore quarterback Matt Foltz (Mount Joy, Pa.) enters Saturday's game 190 passing yards shy of joining Logan Meyer '14 as the only two 2,000-yard passers in program history. Meyer passed for a program-record 2,266 yards in 2013 and 2,215 yards in 2012. Foltz ranks third among NE-10 leaders with 1,810 yards this season, ranking 24th nationally with 201.1 yards per game.

Markus Moves On Up: Senior running back Colin Markus (Monroe, Conn.) moved into third place on Stonehill's career rushing list with 2,269 yards in 36 career games played. His season-high 172 yards on Saturday against Saint Anselm moved him past Mike McSharry '98 (2,102) and Mike McLucas '95 (2,160) on the Skyhawks all-time list. Markus also ranks fourth all-time for career attempts (442) and rushing touchdowns (15).

Let Them Play: Stonehill converted on an impressive 10-of-13 third down opportunities against Saint Anselm on Saturday and now lead the NE-10 on third downs, converting at 44-percent (55-for-126) for the season.

Steve Grzywacz

On The Mark: Senior kicker Steve Grzywacz (Manchester, N.H.) added to his record breaking career by becoming the program's all-time leading scorer with 205 points after his five successful PATs against Saint Anselm on Saturday. Grzywacz surpassed running back Eddie Vachon's '11 previous record of 204 points with his fifth point after on Saturday. Grzywaycz also holds career records for field goals made (32) and attempted (51) as well as PATs (109), while his 37 PATs in 2013 and 11 field goals made in 2011 are single-season marks.

20-20 Vision: Sophomore quarterback Matt Foltz (Mount Joy, Pa.) is one of just three in program history to pass for 20 touchdowns in a season after connecting on four scoring tosses against Saint Anselm last week. Foltz's 22 touchdown passes this season (2nd NE-10) rank 18th nationally in Division II are just four shy of Logan Meyer's '14 program-record total of 26 in 2013. Dan Field '96 threw for 24 touchdowns in 1995, while Meyer added 20 TD passes in 2012. Foltz's 24 career touchdown passes already rank sixth all-time.

Movin' On Up: Sophomore quarterback Matt Foltz (Mount Joy, Pa.) enters today's game ranked third on Stonehill's single-season list with 158 completions, just nine shy of Logan Meyer's '14 single-season record of 167 set in 2013.

A Team Possessed: Stonehill ranks sixth nationally in Division II for time of possession, ranking second in the Northeast-10 with an average 33:44 time of possession. The Skyhawks have won the possession battle in all six wins this season, and eight of nine games overall, holding onto the ball for over 36 minutes in four of the nine games. Stonehill had the ball for 40:31 in its week three win over Pace after it held the ball for 36:22 in their week one win at #11/14 Bloomsburg, 36-minutes flat in week two at Merrimack and then 38:45 against Saint Anselm on Saturday.
