Erhard Leads Women's Cross Country to Second at Harry F. Anderson Invitational


Erhard led the Skyhawks with a third place individual finish.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (September 25, 2021) - Stonehill College, ranked No. 5 in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II East Regional rankings, placed three runners in the top ten on its way to a second place team finish at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College, in a preview of the course that will host the 2021 NCAA Division II East Regional in November.

The Details

  • Stonehill College, ranked No. 5 in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II East Regional rankings, placed three runners in the top ten on its way to a second place team finish at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College, in a preview of the course that will host the 2021 NCAA Division II East Regional in November.
  • Senior Rebecca Erhard paced three Stonehill runners in the top ten and four in the top 15 with her third-place individual finish, out of 186 competitors overall, as she completed the five-kilometer course in 18:28.5. It matches the highest individual finish of her career and marks the third top ten finish of her career – the second top five of the season in as many races she has entered.
  • Junior Victoria Lombardi and freshman Emma Lawrence rounded out the top ten finishers for Stonehill in ninth and tenth, respectively. Lombardi finished in 18:46.1 for her second top ten of the season, while Lawrence took her second top 15 and first top ten of her collegiate career in 18:46.7.
  • Senior Claire Mason rounded out the Skyhawks in the top 15 with a time of 19:03.5.
